Revd. May Barker

I am the vicar for St Stephen’s and St Leodegar’s churches. I am married to Nigel and have a son Joe. We share our home with three dogs and a corn snake. Before training to be a vicar I worked in schools as a Learning Support Assistant and in a hospital as a Healthcare Assistant. I enjoy walking, gardening and being creative.

Revd. Stephen Everard

Since being ordained in 2016, it has been my pleasure to serve God and the communities of St Stephen’s and St Leodegar’s as a self-supporting minister. My wife Jane, a teacher and counsellor, and I live in Southbourne and our daughter, Naomi, is reading Childhood Studies at Bristol University. A palliative care social worker for much of my life, I also enjoy walking, cycling and gardening.

Katrina Walker

Katrina (Kat) joined the team in April 2017 during her Reader training and was licenced in September 2017. She has recently retired after working in the NHS for over 30 years, initially as an Occupational Therapist working in mental health and then for the last ten years as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in primary care. She is looking forward to having more time to serve in the church as well as follow her leisure activities of gardening, walking and appreciating local countryside, coast and wildlife.

Alistair Ghinn

Alistair started working as a self-employed ‘Youth Mission Worker’ in 2015, offering service and support to churches in a 10 mile radius from his home in Selsey. His hopes for his work with our parishes are:
 To help young people grow in their inner confidence of who they are and encourage them to discover their life’s purpose
 To create a safe environment for young people to have fun as well as learn some good life skills
 To support parents and carers in the massive responsibility of preparing young people for adulthood
 To support and service all ages of our churches through teaching and application of God’s word and through regular prayer.

Victor Malan

Victor was the last but one incumbent and returned to the Benefice following his retirement some years ago and occasionally takes services.

Lynn Mears

Lynn is a retired teacher and moved into North Mundham in 2015. She became a member of the PCC the following year and plays an active part in the church life. She became a churchwarden at St Stephen’s Church in March 2018.

Robert Leeder

Robert has lived in the parish all his life and is a Horticultural Engineer working for a local Glasshouse lettuce and basil producer. He has been a member of the church family since childhood, he joined the PCC in 2013 and has been a churchwarden at St Stephen’s Church since 2017.

Joan Duberley

Joan is a churchwarden at St Leodegar’s Church and has been a member of the church family for over 50 years, singing in the choir for more than 40 years. She is a long standing member of the PCC and also currently Deanery Lay Representative for St Leodegar’s.

Barry Hutchinson

Barry moved to Chichester in 2005, and works fulltime in the IT industry. He became a churchwarden at St Leodegars’s Church in June 2022.

Fran Maddison

Fran Maddison is the Director of Music and Choir Master. She joined the team as our organist in 2019.
