Village Lunch Clubs

Hunston and Mundham lunch clubs are for the community open to anybody not just over 60s.

Both Lunch clubs continued to serve their communities as they have for over 20 years.

With a two-course meal followed by tea or coffee, and a Raffle.

We are entitle run by volunteers who give their time to help their community.

The lunch clubs run for 11 months of the year:
There is no meeting in January at Hunston.
There is no meeting in August at North Mundham.

We served 302 meals throughout the year of 2025, an average of 27 people each month at Hunston.
We served 241 meals throughout the year of 2025, an average of 22 people a month at North Mundham.

In December we are able to give a free Christmas lunch to those that had attended more than 6 lunches throughout the year.

The meals are mainly cooked from scratch, homemade, with a vegetarian choice and a diabetic pudding option. 

We have the capacity at each lunch club to provide up to 40 lunches per meeting. It would be good if we could recruit more diners to join, as a way of spreading the fixed cost of the hall hire.

We are also in need of some able-bodied volunteers, to help with setting out tables and chairs, serving the meals, and clearing away.

For 2026 both lunch clubs will still run as it has always done and still cost £4.00 a meal.

We look forward to continuing the lunch clubs on into 2026.
